Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high sanitation standards.
• Handle laundry services such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and uniforms efficiently.
• Manage chemical agents safely by following handling protocols for cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent contamination or accidents.
• Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies using safe lifting practices to avoid injury.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through specialized care like stripping, waxing, polishing, or carpet cleaning as required.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and healthcare infection prevention protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all.
• Support environmental services initiatives by ensuring proper waste disposal and sanitation procedures are followed consistently.
• Use janitorial tools effectively while maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of cleaning equipment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by responding promptly to requests from staff or visitors while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Experience

• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping standards is advantageous.
• Proven ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely with knowledge of chemical agent handling regulations.
• Experience operating various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, or steam cleaners.
• Demonstrated capability in performing heavy lifting tasks while following safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards in busy environments.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
