The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a steady hand, and a passion for precision work.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation:
- Prepare parts for coating, including sandblasting, cleaning, dipping, and masking.
- Ensure all surfaces are properly prepped to achieve the best coating results.
- Paint & Coating Application:
- Apply Cerakote, powder coat, and other finishes using professional spray equipment.
- Follow all standard procedures for paint flow, viscosity, and quality control.
- Operate and maintain coating equipment such as spray guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
- Cure and bake parts at the correct temperatures and time limitations.
- Quality Control & Inspection:
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure proper coating application.
- Monitor machine gauges and equipment to detect defects.
- Maintain high standards for finish consistency, durability, and appearance.
- Equipment & Maintenance:
- Keep painting tools and workstations clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on painting equipment.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines related to coatings, chemical handling, and PPE usage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or Cerakote application preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Basic mechanical and manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required.
