What are the responsibilities and job description for the SolderTouch-Up Specialist position at Micross?
We are seeking a full time Touch Up Specialist for our Apopka, Florida location.
Summary:
The primary functions of this position is to perform the procedures needed to produce a quality product utilizing soldering techniques that were acquired when becoming a J-STD-001 certified operator. The person performing this job must have adequate knowledge of the department operating plan and shipping schedule. They must be knowledgeable of the processes outside their immediate area to aid in the coordination of work. This person could act as a mentor to the rest of the team or department. They will also be capable of taking on complex Engineering requirements and be able to communicate with many disciplines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
- Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures and adheres to the Company’s procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.
- Perform self-inspection ensuring product meets the drawing and Class 3 IPC-610 criteria.
- Take initiative to work independently to meet company shipping goals
- Act as a Liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Read Standard Operating Procedures and suggest improvements.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to work with ITAR controlled documents.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must exhibit good judgment and strong decision making skills
- Required to follow ESD controls.
- Skill in collecting and analyzing complex or technical data.
- Ability to work with a team and receive or communicate directions effectively.
- Ability to perform calculations.
- Ability to understand the basics of a robot.
- Ability to establish goals and objectives.
- Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Educational / Experience Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- 5-10 years relevent work experience required.
- Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
