Leverage reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Conduct work simplification and measurement studies based on business evaluations. Design systems and procedures and prepare related guidance to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. Evaluate market potential and return on investment (ROI) of key programs to help determine areas of potential investment or divestment. Develop an understanding of Microsoft’s product portfolio to analyze strategic priorities, competitive position, gaps, and potential opportunities. May investigate and provide an analysis of merger and acquisition (M&A), venture funding, and public market environment and trends. May support and review product roadmap, go-to-market, integration, and related plans to ensure effective business development strategies. May identify optimal customer opportunities, maximize business vertical, and develop consumption/usage plans in line with business solutions and goals. Telecommuting permitted less than 50%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location. Requires off-site travel to unanticipated worksites up to 25%.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Master’s or foreign equivalent in Business Administration (MBA), Management, or a related field.
Experience: 24 months of experience in an analyst occupation.
Requires 24 months of experience in each of the following: • Developing product strategy and digital transformation solutions; • Leveraging data analytics to generate market intelligence and operational insight for decision-making using SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI; • Utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies including MECE, issue trees, or first principles thinking to provide business insight into market entry, revenue growth, and operational efficiency; • Market research and competitive analysis, including conducting TAM/SAM/SOM assessments, customer segmentation, and pricing strategy development; • Leading long-term strategic planning, business strategy development, and growth initiatives; • Building financial models for new digital ventures, cost optimization strategies, and investment analysis; • Developing and executing revenue diversification strategies to achieve growth and market expansion in digital commerce; • Analyzing operational efficiency and leading cost saving initiatives for enterprise software and hardware; and • Negotiating large-scale public-private collaborations and partnership development. Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (ODP10025139992656), in Redmond, WA, is $168,300.00 - $198,300.00per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depend on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional reward, including merits increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employer’s role.
