As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in building, optimizing, and supporting MES and automation solutions for the Boise fab. You’ll lead configuration efforts, support conversion management, develop data and reporting tools, and collaborate with partners across multiple sites. Your work will directly influence production readiness, system reliability, and operational success.

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in building, optimizing, and supporting MES and automation solutions for the Boise fab. You’ll lead configuration efforts, support conversion management, develop data and reporting tools, and collaborate with partners across multiple sites. Your work will directly influence production readiness, system reliability, and operational success.
Responsibilities
- Manage configuration, testing, and support of MES applications and automation systems
- Build business processes and system procedures through global collaboration
- Serve as SME for new configurations, reporting needs, and automation scenarios
- Develop and maintain scripted queries, reports, web applications, and databases
- Lead local and global projects focused on MES optimization and change‑management improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience with automation, software development, or related technical roles
- Strong Python skills and foundational computer science knowledge
- Experience with MES applications, data analysis, and system troubleshooting
- Ability to coordinate across teams and manage multiple technical tasks
- 3 years of experience with Java or C
- Semiconductor manufacturing experience
- Experience with Python and change‑management or conversion‑management workflows
- Background with SQL, Tableau, BI Center, MongoDB, or Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience mentoring, performing code reviews, or guiding configuration decisions
