What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer, CMP Process Development R&D position at Micron Technology?

Identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems. Coordinate and execute process, equipment and material evaluation / optimization initiatives and implement changes at process step. Lead / participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities. Validate and fan out new process baseline qualified, including new process, tools and/or materials for new product introduction. Support SPC/FDC/RMS/APC. Support site to site portability. Manage / audit material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives. Support internal and external audits. 10% domestic and international travel is required.
Employer will accept a degree in Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field.

Position Requires
- Complex datasets and forming conclusions from data sets to improve and optimize semiconductor processing;
- Design of experiments to extract meaningful data for process development;
- Complex hardware used in semiconductor processing, including sequence of processing and change material profile on a wafer;
- HW parameters and chemical properties; and
- Working with equipment and chemistry suppliers, highlighting gaps/goals and driving them to achieve results
