Position title: Shipping Administrative Clerk
Department: Shipping Manager: Shipping Supervisor
Pay Grade: 20 FLSA: Non-exempt

Essential Functions:
- Process Shipping paperwork from WIP and generate invoices for sales orders including: C of C Preparation, Packing list, Commercial invoice (for international shipments) and mailing label.
- Ensure that all notes in the system for the part are reviewed and all paperwork required with the shipment is prepared accordingly.
- Verify that the paperwork and labels for spools and products are complete and accurate, and the product meets the required part specifications and sign the C of C to release the product for shipment.
- Cross train on Shipping Operator tasks, including preparing shipping documents on the computer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience, & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent which includes having the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, calculate averages, and convert dimensions into SI derived dimensions.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to operate a computer and use various software programs including Word, Access, Excel and ERP software.
- This position requires on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time or more.
- Must be able to operate a computer 50% of the time or more.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to work well and communicate effectivelyq with others.
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills with high volume work load.
- Must have extremely high attention to detail; carelessness may result in incorrect paperwork to the customer.
- Must be able to handle multiple office tasks
Demonstrated Competencies:
- Understanding of ERP/GSS and Shipping Software.
- Able to work individually and as a team.
