Job Description:
The Senior Business Analyst for IT Applications is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions that support business objectives. This role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that application requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered effectively.
- Analyze organizational information challenges, current processes, and procedures; recommend and implement new processes that improve system efficiency, productivity, consistency, controls and protocols across the enterprise
- Orchestrate and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate and document business requirements for IT applications
- Lead requirements workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions
- Evaluate existing IT applications and recommend improvements or new solutions to optimize business processes
- Identify and resolve issues or gaps in requirements and processes
- Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models as needed
- Work closely with developers, QA, and project managers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
- Validate applications to ensure the functionalities are working per designed
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis and IT applications
- Provide user support, investigate and resolve issues of IT applications
- Adhere to IS change control procedures
- Create and maintain end to end business process functionality documentation for Microchip standard practices
- Play a strategic role in developing long term technology strategies
- Provide guidance to Business System Analyst
Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Experience with business process modeling, requirements management tools, and data analysis
- Excellent analytical skills in evaluating and interpreting end user information requirements, trouble shooting, problem solving, data extraction
- Experience with scenario development, test case construction, flowcharting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Experience in a specific domain (e.g. finance, supply chain, procurement) is preferred
