Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Mill Operator specializing in multi-axis machining to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor multi-axis CNC milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials; perform tooling changes as needed for different jobs.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshoot machine issues promptly, perform minor repairs or adjustments, and coordinate with maintenance teams for complex repairs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, setups, and inspection results for quality assurance purposes.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling equipment like press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC lathes, and fabrication tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating multi-axis CNC milling machines with a strong understanding of CNC programming languages such as G-code.
- Proficiency in CAM programming software and SolidWorks or CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for interpreting technical drawings.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in tooling setup, materials handling, fabrication processes, welding, and assembly line operations.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precise machining.
- Experience working in manufacturing facilities or factory environments with hands-on use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is desirable for materials handling tasks.
