Production Test Technician
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Production Test Technician with strong computer hardware and troubleshooting experience to support the assembly and testing of electronic and mechanical components into complete computer systems. This role is ideal for someone who understands how systems are built and enjoys working in a fast-paced, technical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble computer systems and subassemblies per BOMs and process documentation
- Install and connect components including motherboards, processors, RAM, hard drives, and peripherals
- Route internal cables neatly and apply all required labeling
- Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure systems meet quality standards
- Process daily work orders and accurately document pass/fail data
- Monitor materials and notify supervisor or purchasing when components are needed
- Identify and report discrepancies with parts, quantities, or BOMs
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and process documents
- Identify nonconforming materials and support quality and process improvements
- Communicate inefficiencies and recommend improvements to increase production efficiency
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in computer assembly, configuration, or hardware troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of computer components and system builds
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings
- Experience working with BOMs and following detailed assembly instructions
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
- High school diploma required; computer certification preferred
