What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assur Technician I - 2nd Shift (2pm - 10:30pm) position at Micro Stamping Corporation?
The Quality Assurance Technician I is responsible to test and ensure that goods meet manufacturing standards and are free of defects. Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
The Quality Assurance Technician is expected to:
- Maintain SPC limit at or above the corporate target.
- Complete in process inspections in 2 hours or less
- Complete raw material in coming inspections in 25 days or less
- Performs in process inspections.
- Performs raw material incoming inspection and movements through ERP system.
- Assists with First Piece / First Article, incoming processed material, and final inspections.
- Assists in engineering capability studies.
- Assists in gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Completes incoming inspection documentation
- Provides communication to Calibration Technicians of any additions, deletions, or changes to the process gages and equipment
- Manages storage of samples and records. Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and / or work instructions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
· 1-2 years of quality experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
· Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
