We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our agricultural team. Duties
- Assist in daily farm operations including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
- Provide care for livestock, ensuring their health and well-being through proper feeding, handling, and monitoring.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various farming tasks including irrigation setup and greenhouse management.
- Supervise other farm workers as needed to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Implement effective animal husbandry practices to promote the health of livestock.
- Assist with growing operations, including horticulture tasks related to crop management.
- Conduct basic math calculations for inventory management and crop yield assessments.
Experience
Candidates should have experience in the following areas:
- Supervising farm operations or teams is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery operation and repair.
- Animal husbandry practices including animal care and handling techniques.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment safely.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and horticulture practices is a plus.
- Experience with welding or equipment repair will be beneficial.
- A background in agriculture or farming is essential, with a focus on growing experience preferred.
