Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Budget and Data Specialist based in Lansing, MI. The Budget and Data Specialist will manage financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and monitoring financial performance. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data, preparing detailed reports, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and supporting the budgeting process. The specialist will also gather, organize, and interpret data to provide actionable insights and optimize agency operations.

Qualifications
  • Experience in Budgeting, Financial Analysis, and Forecasting
  • Proficiency in Data Management and Interpretation
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Familiarity with Regulatory Compliance and Government Financial Processes
  • Proficiency in using Financial and Data Analysis Software
  • Excellent Organizational and Time-Management Skills
  • Effective Written and Verbal Communication Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience in public sector or government agencies is a plus
