Location: Case Hall Dishwasher / Dining Cleaning and Food Services Support
Pay rate: $16.00/hr

Basic/Brief Description:

Do you take pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming for others? If the answer is Yes! Join our late-night dining team and help keep Case Hall clean, safe, and ready to serve the MSU community. This position focuses on dishwashing, cleaning, sanitizing, and supporting dining hall operations as part of a dependable and collaborative team. Must be willing and able to work late night shifts between 6pm - 11pm.

Typical duties may include, but not limited to:

• Operation of the dish machine
• Check water temperature and soap concentrations, adjusting as necessary to maintain sanitation standards.
• Preform periodic cleaning of dish machine, walls, ceilings, doors, shelves and sinks
• Scraping, soaking, washing, drying and storing of dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans and cooking sheets and other items.
• Sweep, mop and sanitize floors
• It is your job to make sure the guests of the Case Dining receive the most outstanding customer service.
• Other food service duties assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
• Must be able to work a minimum 15 hours per week
• Must be able to work some weekends and from 6pm-11pm
• Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
• Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• Must be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in one place.

Work Hours
