Role Description
This full-time Program Coordinator position, based at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba, Michigan, supports the MSU Institute of Agricultural Technology. The Program Coordinator plays a key role in preparing the next generation of agricultural and forestry professionals through student support, instruction, and community engagement.
Responsibilities include advising and supporting students enrolled in Agricultural Operations and Forest Technology programs, as well as teaching courses in career development, leadership, communications, and professional internships. The Program Coordinator will also lead student recruitment efforts and build strong relationships with industry partners, high schools, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Operations, Forest Technology, or a closely related agricultural field
- Experience advising or supporting students in an educational or training environment
- Ability to teach and develop curriculum in areas such as career development, leadership, and communications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students, industry partners, and community stakeholders
- Experience with student recruitment, outreach, or partnership development is highly desirable
- Passion for student success and workforce development in agriculture and forestry
