Job Summary
We’re seeking a hands-on Director of IT to lead technology operations in a fast-paced, growth-oriented mortgage lending environment. The Director of IT will be responsible for overseeing enterprise systems, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vendor management with a strong focus on optimization and administration of Encompass. This is a hybrid position located out of our Santa Ana, CA office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s IT roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee system administration, configuration, customization and integrations within Encompass.
- Partner with Operations, Compliance and Sales to improve LOS efficiency and user experience.
- Oversee network infrastructure and system architecture.
- Mitigate system outages, monitor system performance, perform root cause analysis, and provide after-action reports.
- Oversee management of hardware, software and SaaS platforms across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with mortgage industry regulations and data security standards.
- Oversee cybersecurity programs, risk assessments, audits and vendor security reviews.
- Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Add, update, and review IT policy and procedures documents and participate in audits.
- Review vendor costs, SLAs, and technology roadmaps and align with executive expectations.
- Review department financials, negotiate vendor costs and services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience administering and optimizing Encompass
- 5 years of leadership experience, preferably with remote teams
- Extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, Retail, Wholesale and Correspondent workflows and how to apply technology solutions
- Experiencing managing third-party LOS Integrations
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field

This is a hybrid role and work is performed within a remote and office environment with standard office equipment.
