Job Summary
The Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology & Diabetes has an opening position of Associate Research Scientist for candidates with M.D./ and/or Ph.D. degree.
Responsibilities*
The candidate will be expected to participate in preparation of manuscripts, presentation of work at national/international meetings, and grant submissions. She/he should therefore have an outstanding track record of productivity and a level of motivation required for successful independent biomedical research. This role will focus on understanding the role of nitric oxide and chemokines in the progression of prostate cancer bone metastasis, using in vitro and in vivo models.
Required Qualifications*
A PhD o MD, MD/PhD is required. Candidates should have strong motivation, solid basic science training background, experience with hypothesis-driven research, good written and oral scientific communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary team-oriented environment. Record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant scientific journals. Knowledge of adrenal gland biology, adrenal pathology, steroidogenesis, and cell differentiation/ proliferation would be highly desirable.
Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
