Michigan Head & Spine Institute is seeking a full-time Billing Clerk to support daily administrative and billing operations by managing claims, payments, records, and general office tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls and manage voicemail messages
- Retrieve and process faxes and mail
- Transmit insurance claims and mail hard-copy claims with required documentation
- Post payments and prepare/complete bank deposits
- Scan and maintain electronic and paper records
- Handle billing record requests
- Obtain and maintain operating room (OR) logs
- Monitor, order, and restock office supplies
- Manage printer maintenance
- Assist with additional administrative and billing duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in billing, medical office administration, or a related role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Proficiency with office equipment (printers, scanners, fax machines)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
