Our Spanish Dual Immersion program is designed to promote bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural competence. We are seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our team and help our students thrive in a multilingual world.
Position Overview:
The Dual Immersion Teacher will deliver instruction in Spanish for students in the Spanish Dual Immersion program. This role involves creating a supportive and dynamic classroom environment that nurtures students’ language skills, cultural awareness, and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that align with the Dual Immersion program goals.
- Assess students’ progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field and/or willingness to work toward proper credentials
- Valid teaching credential or license for the appropriate grade level and/or willingness to work toward proper credentials.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English required.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a love of learning and promoting cultural diversity.
