Michiana Aggregate, Inc. is a producer and provider of sand & gravel in Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana.
Small Southwest Michigan company looking for an aggregate crushing plant operator or heavy
equipment operator who is motivated, can work independently, and is ready to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
May operate very large, very heavy motorized equipment used in earth moving operations, including,
but not limited to dozers, scraper, loader, off road trucks, excavator, etc. and other equipment to
support a variety of operations;
May operate water tanker and similar equipment for dust control and dirt compaction;
Use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources;
Maintain accurate logs and records;
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required;
Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures;
Maintain effective communications with supervisors and team mates in order to identify best work
practices;
Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required;
Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule, location and shift changes;
Support and comply with all components of the Company’s safety program;
Regular physical and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position;

Some travel may be required no overnight stays;
Experience with plant and equipment maintenance preferred;
Experience in sand and gravel/aggregates a plus;
Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record;
Physical Requirements
This position requires time spent walking, standing, bending, lifting and sitting.
Work Environment
This position will work outdoors on a job site in extreme weather conditions
Ability to operate equipment under temperature extremes and for extended hours of time.
