Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for clients, including client write-ups and month / year end closing procedures, recording cash receipts and cash disbursements, preparing monthly bank reconciliations, and recording month / year end closing journal entries
• Become proficient in preparing federal and state corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary income tax returns
• Research tax related matters
• Identify and solve potential tax issues
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns
• Prepare monthly / quarterly sales tax returns
• Prepare annual Form 1099s

Skills / Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting
• CPA license or actively working towards passing the CPA exam
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
• Basic technology skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with accuracy
• The willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed during seasonal busy periods
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Previous experience in CPA firm a plus
