We are seeking a Staff Accountant with public accounting experience who is looking for a more sustainable and growth-oriented role. This position offers the opportunity to work on both tax compliance and advisory services while building direct relationships with clients.
- Prepare individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships)
- Assist with tax planning, projections, and advisory work
- Compile financial statements for small business clients (non-attest)
- Perform tax research and resolve client-specific issues
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information and provide guidance
- Assist with IRS and state notices
- Collaborate with internal team members on client engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of public accounting experience required
- Strong experience with tax preparation (individual and business returns)
- Familiarity with tax software (UltraTax, ProSeries, or similar)
- QuickBooks / QuickBooks Online experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- CPA track or interest in pursuing CPA is a plus
