Michelman Robinson is seeking a talented associate with 4 years of experience in Labor and Employment Law to join our growing management side practice in Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney ready to take on significant responsibility, manage cases independently, and contribute strategically in a fast paces, collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Represent employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, wrongful termination, and restrictive covenant matters
- Lead and manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
- Draft and respond to discovery requests and oversee all facets of the discovery process
- Draft substantive pleadings, dispositive motions, and complex legal memoranda
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and appear in court as appropriate
- Advise clients on routine employment issues and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with partners on case strategy while mentoring junior associates
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties professionally and effectively
- Stay current on federal, state, and local employment law
REQUIREMENTS
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Admission to the California State Bar
- 4 years of labor and employment litigation experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and drive litigation strategy
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience taking depositions and handling court appearances
- A proactive mindset, strong team orientation, and a commitment to client service and professional growth
