Duties
- Prepare a variety of pies, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods following established recipes and standard
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and pastry tools
- Package finished products carefully to ensure freshness and presentation quality
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Assist in baking and preparation tasks for catered events or high-volume production runs
- Support food safety management practices by monitoring ingredients, storage conditions, and hygiene standards
Experience
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting. Alternatively, culinary or baking school can be substituted to meet this requirement.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures in the food industry
- Experience with high-volume production environments preferred
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency across products
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes as needed
