Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence.
• Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitation of high-touch areas to maintain hygiene standards.
• Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices.
• Maintain facilities by performing minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for equipment or infrastructure.
• Operate commercial cleaning tools and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines to ensure optimal performance.
• Support additional facilities maintenance duties as assigned, including industrial cleaning or residential painting tasks when necessary.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers; ability to operate them safely and effectively.
• Strong understanding of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach when interacting with staff or clients.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or general upkeep work enhances your suitability for this role.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial cleaning, chemical handling safety procedures, and general custodial practices.
