Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to join our facilities maintenance team. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle various chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold hygiene standards across all facilities.
• Operate cleaning machinery including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags to ensure continuous availability of essentials.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including basic repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention.
• Support overall facility upkeep by participating in routine inspections and ensuring cleanliness aligns with organizational standards.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, sanitation procedures, and the use of various cleaning equipment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures is essential to ensure safe work practices.
• Experience with industrial cleaning tools such as floor buffers or carpet cleaners is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and facility maintenance enhances effectiveness on the job.
• Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with building occupants or visitors when necessary.

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
