Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, equipment issues, and mechanical failures using hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices
- Conduct system repairs such as HVAC system repair, electrical system troubleshooting, appliance repair, and plumbing adjustments as needed
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building plans to execute installations accurately
- Maintain excellent customer service by explaining system operations and addressing client questions professionally
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and other environmental standards during installation and repair processes
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a solid understanding of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation
- Service technician experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) preferred
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems
- Familiarity with plumbing components related to HVAC systems and boiler operation is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using hand tools, ohmmeters, and diagnostic equipment
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and appliances
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling required or ability to obtain it prior to employment
- Valid van driver’s license preferred for transportation between job sites
- Willingness to work in various environments requiring physical activity such as climbing ladders or working in confined spaces
