Job Description
The Traveling Superintendent will:
- Supervise all on-site construction activities for retail fit-out projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and deadlines.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site that complies with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Conduct daily field reports and regular site meetings to monitor progress and address issues proactively.
- Collaborate with the project management team to update schedules, resolve conflicts, and ensure materials and labor are available as needed.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets client expectations and contract requirements.
- Manage punch lists, closeouts, and turnover processes efficiently and professionally.
- Represent the company on-site as the primary point of contact with clients, inspectors, and vendors.
The Successful Applicant
The Traveling Superintendent Should Have
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent handling groud up work
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%)
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and fast-track schedules.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
