Job Description
Responsibilities may include the following:
- Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
- Mentor and train less experienced design team members.
- Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and formats.
- Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations, drawing preparation, and transmission line models based in PLS-CADD
The Successful Applicant
We Are Seeking The Following Qualifications
- 2 Years of progressive overhead transmission engineering experience.
- Technically proficient to QA/QC a wide variety of T-Line project submittals before packages are sent to clients.
- S. degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Experience with Civil/Structural Transmission Line disciplines (Steel Pole Design, Foundation Design.)
- Tower Design w/ PLS-TOWER not required, but a plus.
- Experience in 12kV to 500kV line design and working knowledge and/or expertise in Power Line Systems software suite (i.e., PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, TOWER, etc.) required.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus, or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of start date.
