Job Description
In this role you will report directly to the Engineering Director and be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a sustaining engineering team of 2-3, in supporting and improving existing products and systems.
- Driving issue resolution efforts by guiding root cause analysis and implementing corrective and improvement actions.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to maintain product reliability and performance.
- Overseeing engineering change activities and associated documentation to support ongoing product lifecycle needs.
- Providing technical direction in troubleshooting and problem-solving across complex mechanical and thermal systems.
- Supporting cost, supplier, and component lifecycle initiatives to ensure long-term product sustainability.
- Ensuring ongoing alignment with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and internal policies.
- Managing sustaining engineering activities while identifying and prioritizing continuous improvement opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Candidate Will Have
- 5 years of experience in a technical engineering role providing sustaining or product support
- Proven track record leading teams of engineers to success
- Complex mechanical systems experience preferred
- Combustion or chiller system exposure a plus
- High-speed manufacturing environment exposure
- Electromechanical systems troubleshooting knowledge
- CAD tools and engineering documentation proficiency
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
