Description
The Superintendent - Government/Defence Projects - NoVA should be responsible for:
- Managing and oversee all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and enforce safety protocols at all times.
- Reviewing and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure project alignment.
- Monitoring project progress and provide regular updates to management and relevant parties.
- Resolving any on-site issues promptly to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of project activities, including daily logs and reports.
Profile
The Superintendent - Government/Defence Projects - NoVA should have:
- 5 years of Superintendent experience
- Experience working on high end interior fit outs (healthcare, government, SCIF, technology, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage on-site teams.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges during project execution.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
