About Our Client

Our client is a disabled veteran‑owned general contractor that has been in business for ~10 years, employs 15 people, and consistently delivers $60M in annual revenue. Despite its small size, the client performs large, technically complex healthcare work across Wisconsin and is a preferred vendor for multiple VA hospitals having completed $80M of VA work to date.

Job Description

  • Act as day‑to‑day field leader on assigned projects
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, with a strong focus on MEP‑intensive scopes
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards, infection control requirements, and safety protocols
  • Maintain strong client relationships, particularly with VA stakeholders
  • Review drawings, sequences, and scopes to proactively identify conflicts
  • Occasionally perform hands‑on work when needed (swing a hammer)
  • Work closely with the General Superintendent and Ownership

  • Police Department Remodel - ~$2M
  • Ambulatory Care Remodel - ~$5M, 5 phases, 2‑year duration
  • Potential leadership opportunities on upcoming $100M project

Must‑Have Qualifications

  • Willingness to work with tools when needed
  • Trades background (carpentry or MEP) OR a construction‑related college degree
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems
  • Highly detail‑oriented; comfortable managing strict documentation and compliance requirements
  • OSHA‑10 required (OSHA‑30 strongly preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver's license

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

  • Healthcare construction experience
  • MEP trade background
  • Infectious Control certification

What's on Offer

  • $90,000-$120,000 depending on experience
  • Annual Bonus: Historically 12-15% of base salary (paid every year)
  • Vehicle allowance: $300/m-$425/month for truck gas card
  • Healthcare reimbursement: $1,100-$1,500/month based on age and dependents:
  • 2-3 weeks of PTO 7 sick days
