Job Description
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary manufacturing engineering team, setting priorities, objectives, and performance expectations
- Own manufacturing process design, validation, and optimization across machining, special processes, assembly, and test
- Drive productivity, yield, and lead‑time improvements using structured continuous improvement and lean methodologies
- Partner with operations, quality, and supply chain to resolve complex manufacturing issues and improve process capability
- Support new product introduction by ensuring tooling, processes, capacity, and documentation are production‑ready
- Review and approve engineering change requests, assessing manufacturability, cost impact, and make‑versus‑buy decisions
- Manage departmental budgets, headcount planning, and capital equipment justification and implementation
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable quality and regulatory frameworks
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline
- Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, with proven people leadership responsibility
- Strong background in machining, tooling, fixtures, process validation, and production support
- Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement, cost reduction, and operational performance
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments with rigorous quality systems
- Ability to lead through influence, communicate effectively across functions, and make sound technical decisions
- Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced, engineering‑driven operation
