We're supporting a national design‑build firm in identifying a Senior Superintendent to lead mission‑critical projects in Northern Virginia. This individual will guide field operations on complex data center builds while helping establish and expand a local presence for a rapidly growing regional team.

Our client is a well‑established design‑build organization with headquarters in the Midwest and multiple affiliate companies serving specialized markets. With roughly 500 employees across the broader enterprise, they deliver mission critical, healthcare, pharmaceutical, federal, and advanced technical facilities nationwide. Their mission‑critical team has been active in Virginia for over five years, with a portfolio that includes major hyperscale technology clients. Due to significant contract wins and a robust pipeline-including a new award with a global tech leader-they are expanding their Northern Virginia operations and expect to open a satellite office locally. The Senior Superintendent will oversee field execution on mission‑critical projects ranging from $15M-$60M , serving as the on‑site leader for scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality, safety, and client communication. This is a key hire tied directly to growth, with a clear path to leadership as the NoVA group continues to scale.

Description

The Senior Superintendent - Mission Critical - NoVA will:

• Lead all on‑site construction field activities for mission‑critical projects
• Manage subcontractors, scheduling, site logistics, and daily reporting
• Implement and enforce project safety, quality standards, and compliance measures
• Coordinate closely with project managers and executive leadership
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company on‑site
• Oversee project phasing, sequencing, and milestone delivery using MS Project
• Support development of local team infrastructure as NoVA operations expand
• Mentor junior field staff and contribute to long‑term regional growth

Profile

The Senior Superintendent - Mission Critical - NoVA will have:

• 15-20 years in construction field management/supervision
• Minimum 5-7 years of mission‑critical (data center) experience
• Background with a general contractor required; GC experience with MEP focus acceptable
• Project experience aligned with $15M-$60M scopes
• Strong preference for candidates local to Northern Virginia
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project scheduling
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and team‑building skills
• Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience

Job Offer

The Senior Superintendent - Mission Critical - NoVA will receive:

• Base salary: $150K-$185K
• Bonuses: Two annually (April & November), typically totaling 9%-15%
• Vehicle program: $850/month allowance or company‑provided vehicle
• Fuel card $50/month cell phone allowance
• Opportunity for three salary adjustments per year
