This specific role will support major institutional clients, including a prominent convention centre and a leading healthcare organisation in Rhode Island.
Job Description
- Act as a trusted advisor to Owners, managing projects from conception through close‑out with a focus on budget, schedule, scope and quality
- Lead and facilitate multiple project meetings, preparing minutes and driving follow‑up on open actions
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams including project controls, schedulers, estimators, clerks of the works and subject‑matter experts
- Lead design document reviews, constructability assessments and value engineering exercises
- Coordinate and oversee designer, contractor and third‑party procurement activities
- Maintain master project budgets, develop cash flow forecasts and advise on Estimate at Completion (EAC)
- Review and advise on change orders, assessing schedule and cost impacts of scope changes or delays
- Communicate progress clearly with clients, escalating risks and supporting overall project strategy and decision‑making
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years' experience in building construction or project management
- Experience delivering public and private sector building projects
- CCM, AIA or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred (or ability to obtain in Rhode Island)
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience managing budgets and schedules
- Based in or willing to commute to the Providence, RI area, with a valid driving licence
- Familiarity with Compass and/or Astro Project Management software is advantageous
