Description
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Create detailed SolidWorks designs and drawings.
- Convert customer concepts into manufacturable solutions.
- Transform engineering proposals and specifications into production-ready designs, including tooling and fixtures, applying DFMA principles.
- Design, analyze, and prototype components for high-performance applications.
- Recommend materials, tolerances, GD&T, and finishes to ensure design integrity and functionality.
- Perform advanced engineering calculations (strength, pressure, effective areas) and conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Lead design reviews and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Profile
A successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for design and modeling.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and improve designs.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Onsite role.
