Senior Estimator - Commercial - Las Vegas

Description

• Prepare complete and accurate conceptual, schematic, and detailed construction estimates.
• Lead quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, subcontractor solicitation, and bid leveling activities.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal operations teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Develop pricing strategies for design-build, negotiated, and competitive bid projects.
• Evaluate drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify scope gaps and value engineering opportunities.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and accurate proposals.
• Support project teams during handoff and provide ongoing budget guidance as needed.
• Utilize industry-leading tools including OST, Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, and BuildingConnected.
• Contribute to department growth, process improvements, and team leadership initiatives.
• For leadership-level candidates, provide mentorship and direction to the estimating team while driving overall preconstruction success.

Profile

• Proven experience as an Estimator, Senior Estimator, or Lead Estimator in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, budgeting, and full-cycle preconstruction services.
• Experience managing design-build projects preferred.
• Knowledge of the Las Vegas construction market highly desired.
• Ability to review plans, specifications, and project documents across multiple trades.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and project teams.
• Proficiency with construction estimating and project management software.
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a lean, highly collaborative environment.
• Leadership experience preferred for candidates interested in overseeing the estimating department.
• Stable work history demonstrating strong performance and accountability.
