Job Description
- Oversee welding quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Perform weld inspections to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Verify products meet AWS and internal quality requirements.
- Partner closely with welders, supervisors, and production personnel to resolve quality concerns.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor.
- Ensure quality processes are consistently followed throughout production.
- Spend significant time in a hands-on manufacturing environment supporting daily operations.
The Successful Applicant
- Quality Engineering, Quality Inspection, or Manufacturing Quality experience.
- Experience inspecting welds or supporting welding operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with welding quality standards and inspection methods.
- Knowledge of AWS welding standards is highly preferred.
- Manufacturing experience within metal fabrication, structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or similar industries.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with production and operations teams.
- Engineering degree is a plus but not required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 annually
