Description
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Monitor process capability and quality metrics, identifying risks and driving corrective or improvement actions.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing quality plans, CA&V, PFMEA, and related inspection documentation.
- Lead root-cause analyses and disposition non-conformances, including MRB support and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers on special-process issues and process troubleshooting.
- Review engineering drawings/spec changes to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present process performance metrics to leadership using PowerPoint and technical reporting.
Profile
A successful Quality Engineer should have:
- 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience (preferably aerospace machining)
- Strong GD&T, mechanical aptitude, and inspection methods
- Experience with PFMEA, CA&V, ICP, FPA/DAR, root-cause analysis
- Proactive, self-driven, technically curious
- Effective communicator - both on the shop floor and with customers
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced, issue-driven environment
- Collaborative - can build consensus across department

Skills & Experience for a Quality Engineer:
