Job Description
- Monitors product quality and reliability performance across manufacturing processes
- Maintains accurate documentation related to quality systems, processes, and compliance
- Develops and executes CMM programs to support part inspection and verification
- Measures tooling/components and records data for traceability and future reference
- Implements detection and prevention methods to address quality and reliability issues
- Prepares and presents key quality metrics (PPM, Cost of Quality, NCRs, etc.)
- Develops and drives quality programs, including tracking, analysis, reporting, and problem-solving initiatives
- Manages quality documentation such as complaints, control plans, alerts, and logs
- Oversees gauge calibration systems to ensure measurement accuracy
- Completes and submits customer PPAPs in a timely and accurate manner
- Develops control plans and in-process inspection documentation
- Issues nonconformance reports (NCRs), leads containment actions, and documents findings clearly
- Performs and documents 8D corrective actions for customer and internal issues
- Inputs and maintains data within internal systems for reporting and traceability
- Supports training and development of team members
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives across operations
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Supports additional responsibilities within the scope of manufacturing as needed
The Successful Applicant
- High school diploma or GED required; CQE certification or equivalent experience preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with PC-DMIS CMM programming
- Strong working knowledge of formal quality systems and documentation standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
- Proficient in quality management and problem-solving tools, including corrective and preventive action methodologies
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data using quantitative and statistical methods to drive process improvements
- Experience with internal and external audit processes, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up
- Strong technical writing skills with ability to produce clear and accurate quality documentation
- Solid understanding of statistical applications in quality and process control
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage internal teams and external stakeholders
- Advanced computer literacy and system navigation skills
- Basic understanding of workplace safety regulations and standards (OSHA/WHMIS)
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems
