Our client is a mid-size GC that has a strong background of healthcare and institutional construction projects throughout the Southeast of the US (Florida, Georgia and the Carolina's).
Job Description
Project Leadership & Execution
- Manage all aspects of construction projects from planning and budgeting to execution and turnover.
- Lead project teams including superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee project schedules using industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Ensure all work complies with contract documents, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Create and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports.
- Manage change orders, purchase orders, and pay applications.
- Ensure projects meet financial targets, including profitability and cash flow expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
- Run regular OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resolve issues proactively and communicate impacts clearly to stakeholders.
- Partner with field teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Identify and manage project risks, conflicts, and schedule impacts.
- Ensure documentation, reporting, and project controls are accurate and up to date.
- Mentor project engineers and junior staff.
- Collaborate closely with field leadership to drive team performance and project goals.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-10 years of project management experience with a general contractor.
- Proven experience managing Healthcare and/or K-12 projects of $20M construction value.
- Strong understanding of K-12 construction process and / or AHCA Inspection experience(if applicable), infection control, interim life safety measures, and other healthcare compliance processes.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, P6, MS Project).
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
