Job Description
- Support day‑to‑day project coordination on CMR public‑sector projects.
- Participate in preconstruction, buyout, contract administration, and procurement.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project communication.
- Maintain accurate records and manage project controls, cost tracking, and scheduling input.
- Conduct jobsite visits in Greensboro and Fayetteville (occasional overnights possible).
- Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, design teams, and internal leadership.
- Use project management software (ProjectSite or similar platforms like Procore).
- Ensure compliance with NC State Construction Office processes and requirements.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager should have:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Construction Management or related field).
- 2 years experience as a PE or APM with a General Contractor.
- CMR public‑sector experience required.
- Familiarity with NC State Construction Office processes is highly preferred.
- Tech‑savvy with strong ability to operate digital PM tools, platforms, and project controls.
- Stable employment history - no jumpy candidates.
- Preference for candidates who have experience with top ENR‑ranked contractors.
- Must be motivated, collaborative, and excited to help grow a newer, expanding office.
- Cannot consider candidates currently working for the specified restricted competitor.
- Local to Raleigh or willing to relocate.
- Project Engineer: $60K-$80K
- Assistant Project Manager: $70K-$100K
