Job Description

• Support day‑to‑day project coordination on CMR public‑sector projects.
• Participate in preconstruction, buyout, contract administration, and procurement.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project communication.
• Maintain accurate records and manage project controls, cost tracking, and scheduling input.
• Conduct jobsite visits in Greensboro and Fayetteville (occasional overnights possible).
• Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, design teams, and internal leadership.
• Use project management software (ProjectSite or similar platforms like Procore).
• Ensure compliance with NC State Construction Office processes and requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree preferred (Construction Management or related field).
• 2 years experience as a PE or APM with a General Contractor.
• CMR public‑sector experience required.
• Familiarity with NC State Construction Office processes is highly preferred.
• Tech‑savvy with strong ability to operate digital PM tools, platforms, and project controls.
• Stable employment history - no jumpy candidates.
• Preference for candidates who have experience with top ENR‑ranked contractors.
• Must be motivated, collaborative, and excited to help grow a newer, expanding office.
• Cannot consider candidates currently working for the specified restricted competitor.
• Local to Raleigh or willing to relocate.
