Description
This Production Manager will:
- Supervise daily activities in the panel shop, including assembly, wiring, testing, and inspection.
- Ensure compliance with UL standards and internal quality procedures.
- Review schematics, layouts, and BOMs for accuracy before production.
- Assign and monitor work for technicians, ensuring deadlines and quality goals are met.
- Train and mentor personnel on wiring techniques and safety practices.
- Conduct inspections and functional testing of completed panels.
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and enforce OSHA compliance.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate with purchasing for timely material availability.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Prepare accurate build records and production reports.

Profile
A successful Production Manager will have:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 3-5 years in industrial control panel assembly, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of UL 508A, UL 698A, UL 891A standards.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting.
- Leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus.
