Job Description
- Lead the preconstruction process for healthcare projects from initial concept through to project handover
- Develop and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and value engineering strategies
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to align design with budget and schedule objectives
- Prepare and present proposals, bid packages, and project scopes
- Identify risks and opportunities, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place
- Support business development efforts, including client presentations and relationship management
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare construction standards, codes, and best practices
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience in preconstruction or estimating within a general contractor environment
- Strong track record working on healthcare projects (hospitals, medical facilities, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of cost planning, budgeting, and construction methodologies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
