Description

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing daily plant operations to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve productivity and quality standards.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of engineers and manufacturing staff.
  • Working hands-on with engineers on the production floor.
  • Collaborating with other departments to optimize processes and meet customer demands.
  • Monitoring budgets, control costs, and drive profitability improvements.
  • Analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Profile

A successful Plant Manager should have:

  • A strong background in engineering and manufacturing within the chemical space.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of capital equipment, piping, drawing and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Experience in process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments.
  • MUST HAVE: 5 years of experience managing supervisors, managers and leaders.
  • MUST HAVE: 10 years of experience within chemical, coatings, paint, polymer or plastic manufacturing.
