Leading commercial real estate loan servicer specializing in managing, monitoring, and maximizing the performance of commercial mortgage loans across a variety of capital sources.
Job Description
- Review and process borrower consent requests (assumptions, releases, easements, leasing, management changes, collateral modifications, etc.).
- Analyze transactions for compliance with loan documents, servicing standards, and investor requirements.
- Interpret loan agreements, servicing agreements, and intercreditor documents to determine approval conditions.
- Conduct financial and property-level analysis using operating statements, rent rolls, and borrower financials.
- Assess credit impact and risk implications of proposed borrower actions.
- Prepare concise credit and consent memoranda for internal approval.
- Coordinate with legal counsel on documentation, negotiations, and closing deliverables.
- Communicate with borrowers, lenders, servicers, and third-party advisors throughout the transaction process.
- Track, document, and maintain consent workflow within servicing systems and internal databases.
- Support process improvements and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory or servicing standards.
The Successful Applicant
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, loan servicing, asset management, or a similar CRE credit/transaction role.
- Strong understanding of commercial mortgage loan structures and credit fundamentals.
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex loan documentation.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial models and servicing systems.
- Experience working for a commercial mortgage servicer (master, primary, or special).
- Exposure to CMBS, bridge loans, mezzanine debt, or structured finance products.
- Knowledge of PSA compliance and servicing standard obligations.
- Strong analytical writing skills, with experience drafting credit or transaction memos.
