Packaging Lab Manager

The Technical Packaging Lab Manager is responsible to oversee and perform technical validations for a variety of packaging projects across multiple formats as well as maintain lab equipment.

My client is a leading beauty and skincare brand.

Description

· Lead the technical packaging lab and manage at least 1 direct report

· Collaborate with Quality team to problem solve and troubleshoot when deviations occur in production

· Conduct packaging component testing to validate new launch items

· Work as liaison between the Packaging Team in NY and the R&D/Quality Team in NJ

· Develop and maintain a professional knowledge of new or emerging trends within the packaging discipline

· Collaborate with Packaging on the creation of packaging component and finished good testing protocols to be utilized for internal testing and exported to external suppliers

Profile

· Bachelor's degree in a Technical field

· 10 years lab experience in packaging component testing, ideally in Beauty and/or CPG environment

· Ability and willingness to learn new technical areas leveraging internal and external resources

· Strong organizational and communication skills
