Job Description
As the Estimator, you will report into senior preconstruction leadership and play a key role in developing competitive, accurate pricing for mechanical construction projects.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets from concept through fully developed construction documents
- Performing quantity take-offs and scope reviews across mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping
- Soliciting, evaluating, and leveling subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identifying scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
- Supporting bid strategy, proposal development, and final submissions
- Collaborating closely with project management and operations teams to ensure smooth handover
- Maintaining historical cost data and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes
The Successful Applicant
For The Estimator Role, We Are Seeking
- Proven experience as an Estimator within mechanical, commercial, or industrial construction
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, or related mechanical systems
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience using estimating and take-off software (such as Bluebeam or similar tools)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong commercial awareness
- A detail-oriented, analytical mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $140,000 USD per year.
