Job Description
- Manage manufacturing and process‑driven projects supporting CNC machining operations
- Act as a primary liaison between engineering and production, ensuring manufacturability and smooth handoff to the shop floor
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and process stability
- Use SolidWorks to support tooling, layouts, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation
- Coordinate cross‑functional efforts involving machining, quality, operations, and leadership
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and process optimization efforts
- Provide hands‑on technical support to production as engineering releases processes to the floor
- Assist with troubleshooting machining and manufacturing challenges as they arise
- Participate in planning and execution of capital or process‑driven improvements
The Successful Applicant
- Hands‑on manufacturing engineering or project engineering experience in a CNC machining environment
- Strong understanding of machining processes (programming not required)
- Experience using SolidWorks in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Background supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
- Project management experience within a production‑focused environment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or extensive equivalent hands‑on experience
- 5-8 years of relevant manufacturing experience, with flexibility for the right profile
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly on the shop floor
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt in a production‑driven environment
- Experience in power generation, turbomachinery, or heavy industrial manufacturing is a plus
