Description
The Manufacturing Manager will:
- Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing supervisors, team leaders, and production personnel to achieve operational objectives
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operation
- Manage daily production activities to ensure schedules, customer requirements, and performance targets are consistently met
- Monitor operational KPIs including productivity, equipment utilization, labor efficiency, yield, and scrap reduction initiatives
- Coordinate workforce planning, scheduling, training, and cross-training programs to maximize operational flexibility
- Partner with engineering, maintenance, planning, and quality teams to optimize manufacturing performance and resolve operational challenges
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions to improve reliability and performance
- Support new product introductions, process transfers, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
Profile
The successful Manufacturing Manager will have the following background:
- 5 years of experience within the plastics manufacturing industry - ideally working with extrusion or injection molding
- At least 3 years of experience managing supervisors and production teams
- Experience within medical device, tubing, wire and cable, extrusion, or similar regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of extrusion manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and process controls.
- Knowledge of process validation methodologies and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools

Salary : $115,000 - $145,000
